vdel recently introduced a new fastener generation that it says takes Speed Fastening®
technology to
the next level. NeoSpeed® delivers a manufacturing throughput up to four times greater than traditional
threaded or breakstem fasteners. NeoSpeed® has a bigger grip
range and wider hole tolerances than traditional rivets. Other new products include Avibulb®
XT and Avinox® XT
- two new patented structural breakstem fasteners that, according to Avdel, create the widest grip range of any bulbing rivets in the market. Both series are available with 6.4mm diameter. Another new product is Aptino® a thread-
forming fastener for thermoplastic materials which is the latest new product from Infastech’s iForm™ brand.
Reduced radial stress in the application enables a reduction of boss wall
thicknesses and thermoplastic
material usage and further lowers manufacturing costs. Innovative threaded fasteners of the Infastech brands Elco® and iForm™ are also available for various applications
