ArcGen Hilta flies the flag

Making a colourful impression on ArcGen Hilta’s stand was an SMC TL-90 lighting tower sporting Union Jack decals to celebrate British manufacturing. The machine, which has a 9m mast, is made at the company’s factory in Lincolnshire.

Being shown as a ‘concept’ product to invite feedback was the SP-55, a lighting tower with a 5.5m mast, which is powered by solar panels. Completely silent in operation, the machine is seen as having potential for use in noise sensitive environments, remote locations and events. New products also included the Pro-Flo C150 6in diameter automatic vacuum priming pump designed for use in flood clearance work and in locations such as quarries, and the new Denyo Eventer 100 ‘ultra silent’ generator, which has a quoted noise level if just 57 dBA and has a 100kVA output capacity.

Big Space bonus from Boss

First-time exhibitor, Boss Cabins, launched its Big Space mobile welfare cabin, which provides not only welfare facilities for up to 10 people, but also an office. The unit is only 500mm longer overall than the company’s standard six person model, and to achieve over 1m more in internal length, a higher rated single axle has been incorporated. Gross weight is 1890kg and the Big Space is available in both standard or ‘hybrid’ configurations, with the latter allowing silent running for both heating and lighting. Boss Cabins says it received an order for two of the new cabins from Keith McIvor of KDM Hire in Northern Ireland, a previous winner of the Executive Hire Show Passionate Hirer Award.
