Euro Towers prize draw winners
During the Executive Hire
Show, those generous people at Euro Towers held a daily prize draw to win one of its new AGR podiums. Our photo shows National Sales Manager Gary Boyce (right) presenting Tim Garland, Business Development Director of Elvington Plant Hire of York with its prize. According to Tim Garland, “we are currently embarking on an ambitious expansion plan, with further diversification into the small tool hire market. We took the opportunity to visit the Show to seek out the right tools and equipment to add to our fleet. “It was well worth the visit and a day out of the office. Whilst there, we finally signed up to the Syrinx software package and seized the opportunity of two free Obart pumps on offer from Higher Concept as part of its Show Deal. Having purchased a podium tower from Euro Towers on its stand, we entered its prize draw and imagine our surprise when two weeks later we were contacted to say that we had won a free AGR podium. In total, we came away from the Show with £1,000 worth of kit for our fleet, free of charge. One Stop adds six more Fords
A significant deal confirmed at last month’s Show was One Stop Hire’s purchase of six more Ford Transits, specially adapted for hire industry use, from Bolton- based Gordons Ford. One Stop’s MD Steve Hitchen, pictured outside the Ricoh Arena with his wife Danielle (left) and Gordons’ Nichola Hobson, comments, “the Transit is the tried, trusted and approved workhorse of the hire industry. Gordons knows our industry and, working with PPS Commercials to fit a special tail lift, has tailored this vehicle specifically to hirers’ needs. These Transits are up to 30% more fuel-efficient than the Mercedes Sprinter vehicles that they will replace.” Steve Hitchen reports that trading in February has
remained strong. “We are ahead of the levels of July and August last year. There was a winter glitch, but we are already ahead of the early months target. As we look to further develop One Stop Hire in 2012, maybe even by an additional acquisition, opportunities will be presented and we are well prepared to take advantage of them.”
