n A Southern Fried Chicken store in South Shields has undergone a £50,000 revamp after appearing on the TV show, Undercover Boss. The company’s managing director,
Andrew Withers, along with the owners of the store, brothers Azman and Amir Ali, invested money into renovating the
premises after taking part in the Channel 4 show.
The documentary, which was aired in July last year, saw Andrew make secret visits to his company’s franchises, including Azman and Amir’s Tyneside store, and suggest improvements on how they can be run.
