A highly respected internet entrepreneur and one of Alan Sugar’s original apprentices, Thomas Power is delivering the keynote address, ‘Twitter can rule
the world’ at The National Franchise Exhibition. One of Alan Sugar’s original apprentices in the 1980s, Thomas is an internationally acclaimed speaker on digital media and coaches business people worldwide on how to ‘Go Social’ online.
He also founded Ecademy, offering online networking, networking events and business support for entrepreneurs and small business owners. Thomas has published seven books about life online, the most recent being ‘Know Me, Like Me, Follow Me’ with his wife Penny Power, which focuses on how to achieve business benefit from social media and online networking.

Nicolas graduated from Aston University with a first-class honours degree in international business and modern languages in 2009, where he was founding president of “Students in free enterprise” society that runs projects in the local community. Since 2009, he has founded three companies, QRky Ltd, which uses quick response technology to link digital contact and multimedia data to printed business cards;
Recip.ly, which links recipe websites with online supermarkets; and Co-Go Coffee To Go Ltd, which sells high-quality, ethical takeaway coffee.
Named Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 by Midlands Business Insider Magazine, he is a guest lecturer at the University of Birmingham’s Business School and also at Birmingham City University. In 2011, he was named Birmingham Young Professional of the Year 2011 for the Entrepreneurial category.
