Home Instead Senior Care has recently welcomed its 100th franchisee to the network to help build on its continuing success

InvestMent level: £35,000 T

his year sees several key milestones for Home Instead Senior Care, the first of which came in February when the business celebrated its 100th

franchise – licensed to Richard and Jo Aram from Nottinghamshire. Richard had a successful career with

British Airways (BA) before leaving to become a franchisee. Richard says: “When I was with BA I took pride in the quality of service that I provided, one of the things that appealed most

about this opportunity was the chance to provide high-quality care to older people in our community. “In a time of austerity there are not many

industries which are flourishing but the home-care sector continues to grow.” Since training in November, Richard and

Jo have already gained their first clients. In response to increasing market

demand, the government has made available £150million for the provision of care at home. In January, Health Secretary Andrew Lansley announced the extra funds that will help patients and family- members pay for home-care services – the kind in which Home Instead Senior Care specialise. Home Instead Senior Care has

territories available across the UK and offers franchisees the chance to build a sizeable business in a sector where it is also possible to make a real difference to people’s lives. n
