, the

eighth sexually focused educational bill in California goes into effect in all government schools. This one is the most blatant in that it promotes the alphabet soup of sexual deviation. The letters in this soup - LGBTIQ - stand for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and questioning.

he State of California has determined it is the job of the state to influence its citizenry.

Last spring I devoted this column to venting my frustrations with the interpretive program at the Ocotillo Wells SVRA which has consumed an inordinate amount of green sticker funds to educate off road enthusiasts about the plants, animals, dirt, rocks, stars and bugs at the park where they come to recreate. My gripe was that the money should have been spent to enhance the off road sport (re-open the dump station, resurrect the Off Road Pals program, acquire more land, etc.) rather than build a 1400 square foot museum, finance a traveling dead insect and animal show and build an ampitheater all in the name of education instead of recreation. To further defend my opinions on this topic, in case you missed the earlier full-length version, right next door to the 85,000 acre off road park is a 600,000+ acre desert state park where people are welcome to visit to learn all they want to learn about nature and where off road vehicles are not allowed.

Interestingly enough little more than half a million visitors a year go to that park that is eight times the size of the off road park, while two million people annually visit the off road park. What does that tell you about the reason they are going to the desert?

My conclusion was that they should change the name of the Department of Parks and Recreation to the Department of Parks and Education. This month I call your attention to a bolder and more widespread plan to influence the minds of Californians. And not just any Californians, but the future generations. Those of you living in another state should also pay close attention to this because, to quote the former mayor of San Francisco: “As California goes, so goes the nation.”

achievements of people who classify their sexual orientation in one of the above defined areas.

What happened to the days when school was about reading, writing and arithmetic? And you could be taught these lessons without ever knowing the bedroom habits of the adults who wrote the curriculum.

But now to please the one half of one percent of the population (according to the U.S. Census Bureau) who are gay2 100 percent of school children will be exposed, even encouraged, to embrace with enthusiasm a lifestyle that many find very objectionable. Starting as young as five years old.

As I mentioned earlier even before SB48 came along there were seven other bills specifically addressing sexual orientation issues already on the books for California schools.

SB 572, signed by Governor Schwarzenegger in 2009, established "Harvey Milk Day" in California public schools. On a designated day in May in classrooms, schools and school districts that participate, children are taught to admire the life and values of late homosexual activist Harvey Milk of San Francisco.

SB777 signed by Governor

Schwarzenegger in 2007 protects the right of children to choose what gender they want to be. Have you ever seen a child try to choose what kind of candy they want or which toy they want when presented with a variety of choices? Imagine teaching a child in elementary school that they have the right to determine whether they want to be a boy or a girl. The bill specifically states: “‘Gender’ means sex, and includes a person’s gender identity and gender-related appearance and behavior whether or not stereotypically associated with the person’s assigned sex at birth.” The Los Angeles Unified School District has a

policy in place allowing boys to use girls' restrooms if that is the gender they perceive themselves to be.3 SB543, signed into law in 2010, allows students 12 years old and above to be taken off campus for mental health counseling without the consent or knowledge of the parents if a teacher or administrator has deemed it is in the best interest of the child. This opens the doors for children to receive sexual orientation counseling without the knowledge or consent of the parent. I know I’m treading on thin ice with this topic. While we are still supposed to be a free country we are fast approaching the day we are not allowed to express opinions contrary to what we are told to believe.

A lot gets done by government officials that have huge impacts on our personal lives, often without us even being aware of what is happening. We’re busy working, raising our families, paying bills, and recreating with friends and family. But without a determined awareness of what is going on at higher levels of government we can find our rights taken away, our minds and those of our children brainwashed, and our tax dollars footing the bill.

If you have kids in public school and you are not in agreement with teachers promoting the LGBT lifestyle to your children, this would be the time to contact your school or look into alternative educational choices. As for me, I’ve changed my mind about my earlier recommendation on renaming the Department of Parks and Rec. I now feel the best way to handle the direction the leadership of California has chosen to go and to most accurately reflect their goal, we should combine the Department of Parks and Recreation with the Department of Education and call this new entity the Department of Indoctrination.

I think its a good fit. 
