ANSWER THE CALL FOR 7-7-7 Campaign

It’s a simple proposition: Each member makes seven phone calls for seven days asking for a $7 donation. The math is simple, too. A little multiplication reveals that full par- ticipation could mean an awesome increase in the Cancer Aid & Research Fund. Members are well aware of the the ways this longstanding fund supports Sisters with cancer, as well as the researchers in every state continually fighting to conquer the disease. Since the program began in 1947, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW has raised more than $100 million to help find a cure.

Last year more than $2.4 mil- lion was raised for research, and more than $1.2 million was granted to assist 2,845 members with cancer. Recently, the National Council of Administration voted to change Cancer Grants to $550 across the board.

Our members do an outstanding job of raising support, and the 7-7-7 Campaign is a creative, easily-doable new way to step up and swell that support.

“I cannot tell you how excited I am about this ‘out of the box idea,’” said National Cancer Aid & Research Director Tami Elliott.
