Eiger every morning after breakfast. A 96-year-old Englishman and former Olympian, Lunn skis ev- ery day during the season. Like so many, he calls the Hotel Eiger home. The hotel sits at the northern end of Mür-


ren, Switzerland, a village that thrives off tour- ism. The town has more cows than people during the tourism industry’s off season. But the Hotel Eiger can become a traveler’s temporary home


regardless of the season. Guests can relax morning, noon and night at Hotel


Eiger. T ey may have their breakfast in the cozy din- ing room, where the wide windows give way to the picturesque mountains, which is o ne of the hotel’s biggest selling points. When the weather is warm, guests have the option of sitting out on the terrace to enjoy meals. Lunch can be ordered from the hotel and guests can eat as they observe the mountains that seem to be only a few feet away. T e hotel, named for the
