Incumbent Trustees Seek Re-Election Members Select Representatives at District Meetings


Jim Brackett District 1


District 1 members are represented by 


A rancher originally from Collinsville, Jim has been a VVEC member since 1972 and was appointed to the board in March 2010 follow- ing the death of long-time trustee Carl Long.


Jim retired from VVEC in 2006 con- cluding a 33-year career in the co-op’s operations department.


He holds an associate degree from Claremore Junior College. He is a mem- ber of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Quarter Horse Associa- tion.


He and his wife Pam are the parents of Stacie, David, Sheila, and Kyle. They also have nine grandchildren. In his spare time, Jim enjoys horse- back riding and camping.


Vernon Lewis District 3


Vernon Lewis represents members in district 3.


A VVEC member since 1968, he has served on the board since 1984. He has served in every officer position on the board including president, along with being VVEC’s trustee and voting delegate to the Oklahoma Association of  and an alternate to Cooperative Finance Corporation. Vernon completed certification as a cooperative director from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in 1998.


He has also served on the Owasso 


A graduate of Howe High School, he is the retired manager of Vernon Lewis Lumber Co., in Collinsville. He has one son, Kenny, and two grandchildren.


He and his wife Sara attend the Owasso Assembly of God Church, and he enjoys gardening and woodcrafts.

Jimmy Lambert District 5


Representing district 5 members is Jimmy Lambert.


A resident of Claremore and a gradu- ate of Owasso High School, Jimmy owns Lambert’s Auto Salvage.


He is currently working to earn his certification as a cooperative director from the National Rural Electric Coop- erative Association.


Jimmy is a member of the American Angus Association, and the Oklahoma Cattleman’s Association. He attends the Church of Christ. He has three sons, Trey, Cole, and


Austin.


In addition to spending time with his sons, he enjoys car racing, rodeos, and raising Angus cattle.
