Electrifying Student: Breanne DeLeon
M
aking a positive difference in her community is what Breanne DeLeon is known for in the hallways of Tyrone High School. Breanne is a senior at Tyrone High School and was selected as the Electrifying Student of the Month for October for demonstrating
Touchstone Energy’s core values of accountability, innovation, integrity and commitment to community. She was presented with a $100 gift certifi cate and award. Breanne has a busy schedule in high school participating in softball, basketball, band and choir. She has held the position of
class secretary for three years. She is also part of the gifted and talented program and often serves as a tutor and mentor to her fellow classmates. Breanne was also selected to attend Upward Bound, a college preparation program for leadership development. “Breanne wants to serve as a role model for the younger kids at our school, and she strives every day to make a positive difference
in somebody’s life,” said Ron Glenn in his nomination of Breanne. “Her philosophy is that all of us can do something each day to help others, and by doing so we can make the world a better place.” Breanne hopes to make the world a better place by studying nursing in college. She is yet undecided where she will attend, but is visiting colleges this semester. Misty DeLeon of Tyrone is Breanne’s mother.
