Power supplies provide two front-panel control options

Touting low-noise performance, fast and precise programmability, and high-power density, the AMREL ePower SPS Series fromAMETEK Programmable Power, San Diego, Calif., supplies full- scale output voltages ranging from10 Vdc (400 Amax) to 800 Vdc (37.5 Amax).Output power specifications range from4 kWto 30 kW.


Themedium-power DC power supplies deliver up to 15 kWat 20 Vdc output and 12 kWdown


to 10 Vdc output in a 3U package. Depending on the output voltage, a single 3U to 6U chassis can deliver 4 kWto 30 kWof power, and these chassis can be paralleled to achieve up to 150 kWof output power. These power supplies are suitable for ATE systemintegration and testing.


These programmable switching power supplies feature built-in ultra-precisionmetering circuits


tomake voltage and currentmeasurementswithout external DMMs. They are certified to UL/CSA 61010 and IEC/EN 61010-1 by a NRTL, aswell as CE and SEMI-F47 Compliant.


The series offers two options for front-panel control. The A panel offers 3-1⁄2 digit LED readouts,


10-turn potentiometers for setting voltage and current, front panel over-voltage protection preview, adjustment and reset, and external analog programming.


Offeringmore sophisticated features, the K panel's vacuum-fluorescent display (VFD)makes it


easy to set the voltage and current and tomakemeasurements. The VFD includes readouts for over-voltage protection (OVP), over-current protection (OCP), voltage sequence (V-LIST), and current sequence (I-LIST) settings.


The K panel also includes amulti-functional keypad for precisely settingOVP,OCP, I-LIST, and V-


LIST parameters. A real-time encoder provides precise, on-the-fly voltage and current control. Units also can be programmed to run through a sequence of voltage or current values.

Power Partners, Hudson,Mass., offers 250-wattmedical power supplies in a 3 x 5 x 1.38-inch package. The PPWAM250 series of AC/DC power supplies is compliant to UL/cUL60601-1 and TUV 60601-1medical safety standards. The units also are RoHS compliant and carry the CEmark. These power supplies can be used in a variety of patient vicinity medical and dental applications.


The PPWAM250 series accepts a 90-264


Vac universal input. Single-output models provide regulated voltages ranging from 12 Vdc to 48 Vdc with no minimum load. The compact open-frame model makes the PPWAM250 devices suitable for designs with space constraints. Units provide up to 250 watts of power with 17 CFMof forced air.


These AC/DC power supplies feature high


efficiencies greater than 85%, leakage currents as low as 300 µA at 264 Vac, and a MTBF of 100,000 hours at full load. The devices also incorporate protection circuitry, including over-voltage and short- circuit protection. EMC performancemeets FCC and EN55011 Level B standards.

Distributed-power Open Standards Alliance (DOSA). The OKI-T/3-W32 series of surface-mount point of load (PoL) supplies is aimed at +12 or +24 Vdc industrial applications where a wide input range in a standard package is required. This new series can accommodate a wide input voltage range from+9 to +32 Vdc, which means one part can be used for both nominal input voltages.
