German construction company Possehl Spezialbau here explains its efforts to enter the British market ahead of the London 2012 Olympics.


or more than 50 years, Ger- man construction company Possehl Spezialbau GmbH has been well-known in its home country and neighbouring coun- tries for construction services and quality products for the refurbish- ment and protection of vehicular- use surfaces, industrial and man- ufacturing areas and aircraft-use pavements.

Starting as a construction com- pany carrying out services on airfields, from repairs and mainte- nance to the complete refurbish- ment of concrete pavements, the company began in 1956 to de- velop and produce its own epoxy- based mortars for concrete repair and coating materials for concrete and asphalt surfaces.

In order to expand exports the company is aiming at the British market and infrastructure projects in view of the Olympic Games 2012 in London. As for the British railway industry, Possehl expects a market for their specialised mortars for the repair of damaged platform
