Glasgow Airport gets stylish cafe

Glasgow Airport has opened a stylish £1.5 million food hall and contemporary café bar. The new development has transformed the airport’s landside food and beverage area, with bars and restaurants that wouldn’t look out of place in a busy city centre. The refurbished units,, located on the first

Silver squiggles in sky

bmi is working with Silver Squiggle, a children’s product specialist, to create a series of new inflight entertainment packs aimed at children of different ages. Silver Squiggle has previously worked with Center Parcs, Claridges and TUI and prides itself on ‘edu-tainment’. The new packs are light, space saving, cost-effective. Xavier Mascarell, senior product development manager for bmi, commented: “We wanted something affordable, practical, exciting and amusing. It had to be top quality from an educational and enjoyment perspective and a child had to be able to use the pack on their own. We didn’t want to give children the same pack on the flight home as on the journey out.” There are six different boxes. www.silversquiggle.com
