Eurostar enhances Business Premier
Eurostar has enhanced its flagship Business Premier class with new menus developed with Michelin three-star chef Alain Roux, chef- patron at the Waterside Inn in Berkshire. The new gourmet menus include the finest
ingredients sourced from the UK, France and Belgium. Eurostar has also introduced a new guaranteed boarding service, offering Business Premier passengers guaranteed access to the train of their choice regardless of their reservation. This summer sees further developments
including the launch of a new Eurostar mobile app for iPhone and Andriod users, which will allow business and leisure travellers to book tickets on the move using their mobiles, as well as offering them easier check-in with new mobile ticketing. The Business lounge taxi booking service is extended to on-board, so Business passengers will be able to book a taxi while they are on the move. For customers travelling to and from
Brussels, Eurostar is working on a significant re-development and upgrade of its Business lounge at Brussels Midi station, which will see capacity double by 2012 when works are completed. With fully-flexible fares, Business Premier customers can enjoy a 10-minute express check-in, business lounge access, plus complimentary drinks and fine dining. Eurostar has also unveiled a new visual identity as it gears up for the launch of new trains and an expanded European network over the next few years. New rolling stock starts to arrive in 2014.

Business class order from Malaysia
In a major order for Recaro Aircraft Seating, Malaysia Airlines has ordered Business seats for 15 new aircraft, to be equipped with the Recaro Comfort Line 6510 product. The airline, a new customer for Recaro, took delivery of its first aircraft equipped with the seats at a festive ceremony in Kuala Lumpur in April. They are being fitted to the airline’s long-range Airbus A330-300 fleet. The CL6510 features the advanced Recaro actuation system that lets passengers adjust the seat position according to their individual needs. It also maximises available living space. Even in tight spaces, the full-flat seat can be extended to a length of up to 6.5 ft. The fixed privacy shell makes it possible to adjust the seat without disturbing neighbouring passengers.

Conakry catering
Newrest Group has joined forces with Guinea Airport Assistance Company (CGA), represented by Ibrahima Keita, to modernise its inflight catering capability at Conakry airport with a 25-year concession license. The group will place its entire network of remote site activity for mining and oil workers at the disposal of this joint venture and the new partnership will bring the opportunity to fill any gaps in the existing catering service provision at Conakry airport. It will also contribute to the country’s socio-economic development by creating jobs and possibilities for skills transfer.
