Panelists were David Young from Watermark Products, Odd Engebretsen from Thai Airways, Azman Ahmed from Malaysian and Lou D’Alessio inflight consultant . The panel discussed a variety of key topics including food trends, the use of frozen meals in the region, duty free growth and passenger feedback opportunities. The education sessions finished with a wine tasting from local Bali producer Hatton Wines followed by a relaxed barbeque and party at one of the private villas in the Sanur Beach resort. Day three saw a small tradeshow with a


number of local and international suppliers hosting booths scattered around the resort which created a relaxed environment to share ideas and new concepts The show closed with a buffet on Sanur Beach


and the final judging of the Chefs’ Competition. Joint winners were Kang Kyung Yun, Korean Air Catering and Nadeem Farooq, Abu Dhabi In-Flight Catering. The event was enthusiastically received by all participants and we look forward to hearing about APOT’s future plans. http://apot.asia
