Weir continues to appoint quality people to join its divisions across the world.
Phil Dodds joined Weir Minerals Europe as operations director in
August 2010, reporting to Tony Locke, managing director. With over 25 years experience in global manufacturing businesses, Phil has a degree in Metallurgy and Micro-structural Engineer- ing from Sheffield Hallam University. Prior to joining Weir, Phil’s most recent position was with GKN Group where he was managing director of one of GKN’s automotive facilities in Italy. Phil’s immediate priority upon joining Weir was to concentrate on developing further lean capability and knowledge on site, in ad- dition to enhancing the robust safety culture.
Jon Woolins has been appointed as the managing director of Weir Minerals Malaysia, the manufacturing hub for the recently acquired Linatex Rubber Products business. Jon joined Linatex in February 1991 and brings broad experience across all aspects of the Linatex business having spent time in engineering, sales and business development management roles prior to becoming general manager of the Malaysian site in 2008.
Perry Poradek joined Weir Oil & Gas as the Oil & Gas Forum director to facilitate
integration of cross divisional products and manage incremental growth at Weir Group. Perry was previously employed by Weatherford International and brings a wealth of knowledge having served in the Oil & Gas industry for over 25 years, involved in exploration and produc- tion, production engineering and corporate business development for production optimisa- tion and artificial lift. Reporting to Steve Noon, Perry will be located in the Houston sales office. Didier Maillard joined Weir Minerals France as finance director, at the end of
2010. He has a masters degree in finance from the Grenoble Graduate Business School in France and has over 20 years experience in industrial, multicultural environments. Prior to joining Weir, Didier worked for over 10 years for Valeo, the French Automotive suppliers, as divisional financial controller. His last position was for the European Starters division with success in profitability recovery in mature busi- ness, launching the new generation of stop and start reinforced starters.

Jackie Wilkerson has joined Weir Oil & Gas as the divisional marketing communications coordinator in support of the divisional growth strategies and creating a strong Weir Oil & Gas brand globally. Report- ing to Bill Tipton out of the Houston office, Jackie will be managing the implementation of divisional communications and branding strategies in harmony with Group as well as supporting business leaders in creating a stronger connection with customers. Jackie holds a B.B.A. in Marketing and brings 9 years of experience to this role after working at top Houston agencies focused on branding, marketing and advertising. Her experience in the Oil & Gas industry includes working on communication strategies for the largest energy companies in the world.
Ignacio Esteve, managing director, joined Weir through the acquisition of Ynfiniti
Engineering Services (YES) based in Madrid, Spain. YES, founded by Ignacio in 2005, provides maintenance services for the Iberian market. Ignacio has a bachelors and masters degree in Engineering Management from Western Michigan University and an MBA from the IESE Business School. Prior to YES, he was the managing director of the International Division of ECA (a Spanish Engineering and Quality Control Group) and project manager at Upjohn Pharmaceuticals, now part of the Pfizer Group. Ignacio brings a strong team of people to Weir with good understanding in the renewable energy sector particularly the wind market.
