love every inch by donna taylor

When your client falls off the dietwagon, introduce themto your range of in-salon inch loss salon treatments...

When it comes back around to this time of year, there aren’tmany of us who can say, especially after recent festivities, that we are completely happy with our figures. In fact, most would give anything to lose a few inches fromhere and there.

“Christmasmay be known as ‘themost wonderful time of the year’, but this isn’t always true for our figures!” saysMatt Thompson, marketing assistant at Lynton.

But when it gets this cold, who wants to give up the warm,Winter comfort food and leave the cosy house in favour of a gym?

Recent research commissioned by weight management programme Jenny Craig, and outlined in the Food, Body,Mind report, suggests that one in five women are continuously on a diet and over a third of women are looking for a ‘quick fix’, with convenience being important. Showing us just what we thought -many of us are looking for amiracle!

This search for an immediate and noticeable change in the shape of our figure has often left people falling at the feet of surgeons offering ‘quick fix’ surgery. “In the past, peoplemay have resorted to dangerous ‘crash diets’ or an expensive and invasive course of Liposuction,” saysMatt.

But luckily, today we are privileged with a wide range of in-salon treatments that promise to assist us on our quest to lose and inch or two. “Non-surgical fat removal procedures, ultrasound and radiofrequency technology have been used to achieve fantastic circumference reduction and cellulite control in problemareas such as the abdomen, thighs and buttocks,” says Matt.

The benefit ofmost inch loss systems on themarket is that they can be combined with other inch loss treatments or cellulite treatments. “Most inch loss systems can be used in conjunction with slimming wraps, including as part of a treatment programme. For some clients I even suggest incorporating the Power Plate. As with all slimming and inch loss treatments I do

insist that clients exercise after their treatment,” says Julie French, HeadTrainer for Demilec.

Goodmarketing of these treatments is the key: “Tomarket your inch loss treatment always hold a launch event so people can come and try the treatment for themselves, always offer a good incentive so people will book a course, and with a successful launch you could be looking at bringing in 50 percent of themoney that you have paid on your system,” says Julie.

“Arrange to go into the local slimming clubs and speak to the ladies and give out leaflets and advice, offer a 50 percent discount on a trial treatment so that you can get to know the client and sell your course on a one to one basis,” she continues.

With a wide range of easy treatments available, fromvibration plates to relaxing body treatments to encourage circulation, there’s no need for your client to ever fall off the wagon again when it comes to achieving a beautiful body. Check out your options for keeping your client on the straight and narrow (a narrow waist that is)...
