STEP 12: Remove the masking, except over the clear section, and add some shadows to the graphics as shown. Once the shading is complete, remove the masking over the clear area.

STEP 13: Here is a picture of the final base colors. Tilting the pan- el again reveals the text, and you can see the ground metal design through the paint, creating interesting effects as light hits the panel from different directions. The next part of this how-to is just an example of what can be done over top of the existing design. I am using my logo to finish off the panel, but use whatever you wish over top of the design, or just put some pinstripes around the edges and clear it.

STEP 14: I cut out a stencil of my logo on my vinyl cutter and placed it on the panel. Be sure to mask off any area that you do not want over-spray. I applied several thin coats of base coat white over the design with my airbrush giving plenty of time in between for the paint to dry. I use a hair dryer to speed up this process, just be care- ful as the heat can shrink and wrinkle the vinyl that has wet paint on it. Once the white base covers the background I follow through with my colors and adding and removing stencils where needed. I am not showing this process since it is not the main reason for this how-to, plus I doubt you want to spend the time painting someone else’s logo!!!!

STEP 15: Here is the final panel ready to be clear coated. Notice that I’ve added pinstripes to the background design. This helps to make the graphics pop.
