I start with mid range blends, move on to darks outlines and finish with white highlights. With every added color and highlight the van comes to life. I use a lot of transparent paint it is not as harsh as opaques. I do use some Posca paint pens for some details as well. You could spend forever adding details but try not to over work it. I like to get my vans painted in 8 hours both sides front and back, I usually go a bit over. I am sure given loads of time everyone can create a masterpiece, but my goal is to do a great job in the given time period so that I am getting paid fairly. So get it done, sign your name to something you can be proud of, and then send it to the clear coat booth.
It is amazing how a white van can go from plain to insane, I can not wait to see what artist do using this technique. It is easier than you think. Drew
