HID Global announced new online tech- nical, customer service and sales support enhancements, aimed at providing unique benefits to www.hidglobal.com users. a technical support help ticket online and use the self-service portal to track tickets; access technical documentation and HID Global’s knowledge center; quickly find local sales representation by region and HID product or solution; and use the worldwide sales locator and technical support portal in nine languages (English, Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese). Facilitated by feedback from the recent HID Global Voice of the Cus- tomer study, the company’s customer service team has been fortified to extend the group’s charter to anticipate and address the global support needs of HID customers, and the enhanced North American inside sales team now pro- vides customers access to a dedicated team of sales support personnel through a unified group of HID sales experts, according to HID Global.


Get ‘Hands-On’ With New HAI Training Home


Inc. (HAI), a provider of home automation solutions since 1985, announced it is now offering regional factory ‘HANDS ON’ trainings in the Western region of the United States. While HAI has offered factory train- ing at its headquarters in New Orleans for many years, the idea of bringing the concept on the road increases conve- nience for west-coast integrators. Trainings will be held in Denver on


November 9-11, and Seattle on Decem- ber 7-9. With the advent of more internet pro- tocol (IP) and surveillance devices in the home, installing companies have requested more complete training to meet their customers’ needs. In the ‘HANDS ON’ environment, each participant is given instruction and actually designs, connects, programs and customizes their own system in a three-day class.

Milestone Systems (www.milestone- sys.com) announced plug-and-play integration between Milestone XProtect™ software and the new Bosch (www.boschsecurity.com) NBC-225 and 255 IP cameras, enabled using the ONVIF specifi- cation standard. Milestone is the first video management software product to support the newest models in the Bosch 200 Series of IP cameras.


The ONVIF standard integra- tion with these two Bosch 200 series cameras allows users of Milestone XProtect IP video man- agement software to operate video streaming in both MJPEG and H.264 with RTP/UPD protocols and audio streaming. Milestone is also working to provide support for the full line of Bosch Dinion and Flexidome H.264 network cam- eras, which will be commercially available soon.

com) to embed the firmware from Mercury’s hardware platform as an option into NXT Controllers. Customers can order standard NXT Controllers for Doors.NET and Eclipse.NET applications or they can optionally order NXT controllers with the embedded Mercury firmware. Both versions can be used on the same project, with the Mercury-Powered version deployed at the locations that require the extra capability they provide.
