WIRELESS SITUATIONAL AWARENESS SYSTEM WITH LOCATION Inovonics introduced Radius™, which it says is the security industry’s first situ- ational awareness system utilizing Inovon- ics’ wireless positioning technology. Radius combines the latest mass notification capabilities with advanced positioning technology to pinpoint mobile duress alarm devices for use in industries including manufacturing/industrial plants, retail, education, government, and financial. Radius monitors any Ino- vonics’ security, and sensor, end devices and interfaces to fire, access control and environment systems — providing instant notification to mass communication alert devices. For example, when a potential life-threatening event occurs, it is automatically transmitted to Radius. The system then processes and locates the position where the event is taking place and alerts the appropriate authorities immediately. “Most systems only can notify when a duress alarm has been activated, but, with Inovonics’ wireless Radius system, users can now tell exactly where the [mobile] alarm is coming from. No other system in the secu- rity marketplace can do that today,” said Jeff Kessler, managing direc- tor of Imperial Capital. Radius can be used within single buildings or scale to large, multi-building campuses spread over hundreds of acres.

the market, allowing for up to one year of opera- tion on a single battery charge, the company said. Simply place it wherever you have wireless, long-term recording needs, and the motion- activated camera records whenever movement is detected. The cameras are completely self-con- tained and weather resistant, and record to a high- capacity SD card. There are three covert models: outdoor rock, electrical box, and teddy bear. KJB Security

UNIT MAKES CO DETECTOR REPLACEMENT EASIER With the first round of system-connected carbon monoxide (CO) detectors reaching their end of life, there’s an opportunity for dealers and installers to increase their revenue streams through CO detector replacements. System Sensor launched a new CO-PLATE carbon mon- oxide detector plate to coincide with this opportunity. “…If you want to upgrade your customers to the best CO detection available, there’s the problem of covering the outline of that old, bulky detector while keeping your installation time and costs down,” said Jackie Lorenty of System Sensor. The CO-PLATE addresses this issue: Designed to perfectly cover the footprint of the previously installed detector, the CO-PLATE can be mounted in seconds for a clean, low-profile finish. “Best of all, the CO-PLATE enables you to upgrade your customers to the award-winning CO1224T

Carbon Monoxide Detector with RealTest™ – the best protection you can provide your customers,” Lorenty added. RealTest is the first and only functional CO test fully compliant with NFPA 720:2009. System Sensor
