Stanley CSS Extends Its ‘Performance Scorecard’ to Commercial Customers
Stanley Convergent Security Solutions (Stanley CSS), Naperville, Ill., recent- ly introduced its newest initiative to assure performance and accountability through the release of its Commercial Customer Performance Scorecard. Built upon the success of the Stanley CSS national account performance score- card, first introduced in September 2005 to national account customers, the new scorecard revolutionizes performance accountability through total transpar- ency for every Stanley CSS commercial customer, the company said. The scorecard provides commercial customers with their own personalized tool to measure performance. “With our Commercial Customer Performance Scorecard, we continue to show our commitment to operational excellence, unparalleled customer ser- vice and the use of advanced technology to maximize the customer experience and provide our customers total trans- parency in our performance on their accounts,” stated Tony Byerly, presi- dent of Stanley CSS North America and United Kingdom Direct. “This philoso- phy of transparency is built upon our foundation of professional integrity, good old-fashioned honesty and perfor- mance accountability through focusing on operational excellence across the five customer touch points of account man- agement, installation, service, monitor- ing and billing.” Stanley CSS’s performance in more than 60 metrics is presented on the indi- vidualized scorecard for each customer. Protection Engineering Facility Lab Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) announced the establishment of a new fire protection engineering facility spon- sored in part by Honeywell Life Safety, a division of Honeywell International. The WPI Fire Protection Engineering Lab, a new facility still in the concep- tual phase, is expected to house activi- ties related to combustion and explo- sion, fire and materials, policy and risk, suppression, wild land-urban interface fires, and engineering tools to support the fire service. The Honeywell Life Safety Funda- mentals Lab will support the education and research of WPI’s Fire Protection Engineering Program. WPI and Honey- well Life Safety share a commitment to leading the world to safety and to pro- tecting the public, firefighters, and first
responders globally, WPI said. “Worcester Polytechnic Institute has been a great contributor to the fire pro- tection industry and Honeywell certain- ly wants to help further this mission,” said Mark Levy, president of Honeywell Life Safety.
In addition to offering the nation’s
first master’s degree program in the fire protection engineering field, the uni- versity was the first to provide a grad- uate-level program in fire protection engineering via distance learning, and it grants the world’s only formal PhD program in fire protection engineering. Honeywell Life Safety joined Chi- cago-based Rolf Jensen & Associates (RJA) and Schirmer Engineering in supporting WPI’s new fire protection engineering lab. ■
