the Helm as President Dedicated Micros Inc., Chantilly, Va., a part of AD Group, announced that Mike Newton, the founder of Dedicated Micros, and AD Group’s chief executive officer and chief technical officer, will assume the role of president of Dedi- cated Micros Inc. The company said Newton will divide his time between Chantilly, overseeing the strategic direction of business opera- tions in the Americas, and AD Group’s worldwide headquarters in Warrington, England. Newton, who the company described
as an extremely influential figure in the global security industry, has a career which spans over three decades. Newton said, “I am delighted to be able to take up this leadership position as president of Dedicated Micros Inc. and look forward
to working closely with my colleagues, our partners and customers across the Americas in the months ahead.
“Our operation in the region, from our

headquarters in Chantilly and manufac- turing plant in Orlando, remains a stra- tegically vital part of Dedicated Micros’ global business and we plan to rapidly expand the presence we have in the mar- ketplace, especially in North America, including making IP-based surveillance technology genuinely accessible at the mid-range dealer, installer and customer level. This upsurge is built upon strong investment in training, technical support and research and development.” ■
