New head of retail for Webb Group


Ann Hurley joins ChoicesUK parent  Nieto Garcia departs Rising Star Games  Hansoft hires three more


THE WEBB GROUP l The home entertainment firm has appointed industry veteran ANN HURLEY as its new national head of retail.


Hurley will lead the new sales and accounts teams for the group, which owns games and entertainment online retailer ChoicesUK. She has previously worked as sales manager at Centresoft and sales director at US Gold and Gremlin. Her other roles included business development positions at 2020 Logistics, Focus Multimedia and Bigben Interactive. Hurley said: “I am very excited to be joining The Webb Group at such an exciting time. I look forward to working


with the team to nurture and grow our customer base, while spreading the word of the great things that are happening within the Group to benefit all of our clients.” The Webb Group’s MD Bernard Kumeta added: “This is a tremendous period of opportunity for The Webb Group, and we are delighted that Ann shares our vision for the company’s future potential. “With more than 25 years’ hands-on experience within the entertainment software industry, she will bring a wealth of knowledge and customer development skills to our growing business.”


RISING STAR GAMES l RAUL NIETO GARCIA has left the company. He joined Rising Star in September 2009 and held the position of


marketing manager. Before this, he worked in various roles at Square Enix Europe over the course of five years.


HANSOFT l Swedish project management tools provider Hansoft has hired three new employees. FREDRIK SONDELL (above, left) takes on the role of senior technical support and community manager. He has previously worked as a consultant in project management at IT firm Omegapoint. CECILIA FISCHER (above, centre) has been hired as an office assistant, leaving her role as marketing manager for pharmaceutical company Q-Med. Finally, GILLIAN OLSSON (above, right) joins as assistant to the CEO. She was previously working in the financial industry, most recently at New York- based firm Stonehill Capital Management.
