ACF 2010 Atlanta prepares for ACF 2012
HARTSFIELD-JACKSON Atlanta International airport will host a gala dinner on the evening of Wednesday 3 November to officially announce and celebrate the fact that it will be the host of the 50th Anniversary International Air Cargo Forum & Exposition – ACF 2012. Hartsfield-Jackson maintains more than 1.5 million square feet (135,00m2
of cargo handling space in its North, South and Midfield cargo complexes. It also houses a US Department of Agriculture-approved perishables complex. Adjoining the airport is the 250-acre
Georgia Foreign Trade Zone, which facilitates trade and helps increase the global competitiveness of companies doing business in Georgia by reducing the operating costs associated with international trade.
Hartsfield-Jackson’s cargo services
feature operations by more than 100 licensed Customs brokers and 200 domestic and international freight forwarders, all serving a population of more than 200 million people
– and that’s about 80 percent of the US consumer base – who are within two hours’ flight time from Hartsfield- Jackson, or one day’s trucking by highway. Commenting on the fact that the
Spouse tours AS IS USUAL at an ACF gathering, TIACA has organised a programme of Spouse/Guest Tours to accompany the event.

It seems that people are saying to themselves that ‘the industry is back, and this (ACF) is how we can establish ourselves’.” TIACA secretary general Daniel Fernandez commented:
“Our event in Amsterdam is already nearly sold out in terms of exhibition space and I am confident it will see a very strong turnout from senior executives from across the world of air cargo as always, stimulated by our efforts over the coming weeks and months to increase the participation of shippers and forwarders.”
