Using a Sharpie marker, draw lines on the back of a bezel blank to indicate where to stamp a message. Stamp message and darken with liver of sulfur if desired. Cut a vintage photo to fit inside the bezel. Use Tacky glue and adhere the photo to the bezel. Note: Scan original photos and
print on quality paper to preserve the original. If using regular paper, seal it with Mod Podge and let dry completely.
Spread Gel du Soleil over the entire surface of the bezel. Note:
This resin product will cure in sunlight or in about 20 minutes
with a UV lamp. Before curing you can add other things to your resin like words printed on velum for a see through effect, glitter, small charms, or a mustard seed as in this example. The mustard seed reminds me that from very small things comes greatness, as I came from her love and life. Tie the end of a length of silk ribbon to an etched jumpring using a Lark’s head knot. Thread a filigree cone onto the ribbon and tie another knot inside the cone to keep it from moving. Connect an 18” length of open link chain to a hole on the filigree cone. Weave the ribbon through every fourth link. Using the tail of ribbon, tie a Lark’s Head knot onto an etched jumpring, pulling the end through a cone. Tie a knot inside the cone and trim the excess ribbon. Attach the end of the chain to the filigree cone. String a headpin with a pearl, a bead, a crystal, or a piece of recycled jewelry and make a wrapped loop, connecting it to a link in the chain. Repeat as desired adding dangles and charms at random intervals along the chain. Cut a 3” length of 20 gauge brass wire and make a wrapped loop. String a brass cog spacer and a faceted blue goldstone bead. Repeat two times ending with a cog spacer and make a wrapped loop. String three spacers on a hook clasp. Wrap the base of the hook with 24 gauge brass wire. Holding the spacers tight, wrap the wire around the spacers, ending by wrapping several times around the top of the hook. Tuck in the ends of the wire and trim excess. Connect the resin pendant to the necklace using jumprings.
