NECKLACE Cut a length of beading wire. String a crimp tube and a wire guard. Thread the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp. String 5 & 7mm pearls and 5mm silver beads in the pattern shown or as desired. Repeat step 2. Trim excess wire. Cut a length of 22 gauge sterling silver dead soft wire and make a wrapped loop, connecting it to the wire guard at one end of the necklace. String a 5mm silver round bead and make a wrapped loop. Repeat, connecting the first wrapped loop to the last wrapped loop of the previous link. Repeat once more. Cut a length of 26 gauge wire and string a 13x6.5mm Swarovski crystal AB briolette pendant, positioning it in the center of the wire. Bend the wires above the briolette and wrap one wire around the other. Trim the shorter wire. Use the remaining wire and create a wrapped loop, connecting it to the last wrapped loop from step 4. Continue wrapping the wire down and around the top of the briolette. Create a hook clasp: Cut a 6” length of 20 gauge sterling silver half hard wire and using chain nose pliers grip the wire about 2” from one end and bend the wire back on itself until the short and long sides of the wire are touching. Using the chain nose pliers, grip the short side of the wire about ½” from the end and bend across the long side. Note: Think of a number 4 with the top collapsed. Wrap the short end of wire around the longer piece. String a 5mm silver round bead and create a wrapped loop, connecting it to the wire guard on the remaining end of the necklace. Use round nose pliers and curl up the tip of the hook clasp.

PENDANT Cut a 6” length of 20 gauge sterling silver dead soft wire. Bend the wire in the center forming a “V”. Grip the tip of the V in the jaws of a pair of large bail making pliers and bend the wire ends around a larger mandrel. Form a circle so that the V tip is centered between the two loose ends
of wire. Note: The barrel of a ball point pen will also work to shape the bail.
Thread the loose ends of wire through the mesh-like holes at the bottom (opposite of the hole at the top) of a sterling silver mosaic oval pendant so that the V point fits snugly against the mesh. Cut a 3’ length of 26 gauge sterling silver dead soft wire. Hold the wire against the V point, leaving a 3” tail. Using the long end of the wire secure the V tip of the bail to the mesh of the pendant. Coil the loose ends of the 20 gauge bail wire against the pendant so that the bail framework is attached snugly to the pendant. Using the long end of the 26 gauge wire, begin weaving the wire onto the bail moving from side to side as shown. Add two 5mm freshwater pearls to the design. When the entire bail has been woven, thread the remaining 26 gauge wire through the front of
the pendant. Note: This leaves two tails of 26 gauge wire at the front of the pendant. Use the two
tails to wire wrap 5mm freshwater pearls, 5mm silver round beads, and a Biwa stick pearl to the front of the pendant as desired. Use additional lengths of 26 gauge wire if needed. Following the necklace step 5 instructions, connect a 13x6.5mm Swarovski crystal AB briolette
to the bottom of the pendant. Note: Using the hole that would normally have been the top of the pendant.
Thread the pendant on the necklace.
