NECKLACE Working from a spool of 26 gauge seafoam Artistic Wire, string approximately 28” of 4-5mm soft green button pearls and 4-5mm light apricot, off white, and soft green potato pearls. Note: Begin and end the strand with a few

8/0 silver-plated seed beads and add seed beads between each pearl on the strand.

Make a slip knot at the end of the wire and slide a bead up next to the crochet hook. Make a chain stitch, being sure to capture the first bead in the stitch. Continue sliding a bead and making a chain stitch until you have

approximately 33” of crochet. Note: This will vary depending on the tension of the crochet. Finish off by pulling the

wire through the last chain stitch and cutting the wire. Fold the crochet into thirds and lightly twist the sections to

hold them together. Note: You will have some stray wires left over but they will be tucked into the beads as you finish.

Cut a 6” length of 20 gauge non-tarnish silver Artistic Wire and make a spiral on one end. String a light green stone carved butterfly and several spacer beads and make a loose loop at the top. Bring the wire behind the butterfly, around the spiral, and create another spiral. Repeat on the other end of the crocheted strand. Cut a 4” length of 20 gauge non-tarnish silver Artistic Wire and make a spiral on one end. Insert the wire into one or two seed beads on the crocheted necklace. Bring the wire up and around the spiral on the butterfly and back down through another seed bead to attach to the crocheted piece. Create another spiral on the wire to secure. Repeat on the other end of the crocheted strand. Tuck in any excess wire to secure and trim excess wire. Cut a 16” length of beading wire and string the loop at the top of one of the butterflies, positioning the butterfly in the center of the wire. String a spacer bead, a pearl, a spacer bead, and a 38x2mm silver-plated curved tube bead over both wires. Repeat pattern so there are two tube beads and three pearls added to the design. String a crimp tube and half of a toggle clasp. Thread the wire back through the crimp bead and crimp. Cover the crimp tube with a crimp cover. Repeat steps 5-6 using the other half of the clasp.
