Sea Foam & Sand Beaded Tassel by Lisa Suver

Cut a 20” and eighteen 7” lengths of beading wire. Using the 20” length of wire, string 4” of 10/0 sea foam green seed beads, positioning them in the center of the wire. Bring the two ends of the wire together and string both ends through a 6mm Bali style pewter round bead, an 8mm Czech sea foam green glass bead, and large holed crimp bead. Evenly tuck all of the ends of the 18 7” lengths of wire up through the large holed crimp bead.

Note: This will give you 20 lengths of wire hanging down from the crimp bead. Securely crimp all

the wires together. Trim any wires that may be poking out of the top of the crimp bead, being careful not to cut the wire that is the handle of the tassel. Thread all 20 wires together down through the top of a 14x30mm pewter cone. Note: The cone

should be flush up against the 8mm Czech bead on the handle and the large crimp should be hidden underneath the cone.

Bead each of the 20 wires with seed beads, adding accent beads in an attractive random pattern. Finish each strand by stringing a crimp tube and crimping. Trim the wire close to the crimp tube.

Note: As each strand is beaded, the area inside the cone gets filled up. The beaded strands provide enough bulk to keep the cone in place.
