3A, 3B, 3C, 3D I wanted the background to look like an out
of focus photograph. I started randomly spraying Auto Air
trans apple green, then AA trans brite green and finishing
with AA trans root beer. Then misting with root beer until I
remove the lime green popsicle look.
After removing the positive stencil, I am left with a blank
area to start my horse.

Taping down the negative stencil protects the back
ground. Also I cut from the paper reference some areas
where a lighter value is required and taped them down. I
sprayed a mixture of Auto Air transparent black, AA trans
blue and AA trans root beer, making a shadow type color.
This gives me a texture to start working with. By starting
with this shadow type color I can apply either lighter or
darker values to start creating shape.
