1990s

Marlene Connolly LL.B (1990)

Marlene is married to Paul Colton B.A.I. (1990) and living in Dun Laoghaire with baby Matthew, now two years old. Marlene is Legal Director for Websense, a NASDAQ listed global web-security company.

James (Jim) Bracken M.Sc. (Mgmt.), F.C.A. (1992)

Jim is CEO of GS1 Ireland, the local offi ce of the global not-for-profi t standards body for the effi cient management of supply and demand chain management. Key components of the standards include: bar codes, eCommerce messages, product data alignment and RFID (EPCglobal). Traceability solutions for food and non-food products including healthcare are supported by GS1 standards across the world.

Mikhail Reider-Gordon, M.Phil. (Peace Studies) (1992)

Mikhail has recently been appointed Vice-Chair of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of International Law. Having been with the U.S. Dept of Justice, she is now a Senior Manager with Deloitte FAS LLP, and is currently writing a white-paper on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Sovereign Wealth Funds.

Lisa Byrnes B.A. (1993)

After many years in marketing for Bus Éireann in Paris, Lisa travelled throughout Asia, fi nally fi nishing in London. She married Shane Whiting and they have lived in Auckland, New Zealand for the last fi ve years where she owns and manages a successful business.

Katrina Costello B.A. (1993)

Katrina Egan married Gavin Costello and they live in Geneva, Switzerland, with their two little boys (Cian, seven & Evan, fi ve). Katrina works in the HR department of a multinational in their European HQ overlooking the lake and Mont Blanc, and in winter her friends phone her at work to check out the skiing conditions in the Alps!

Paul O’Brien B.A., Ph.D. (1994)

Paul graduated in Italian & Biblical Studies and later received a Ph.D. in Modern European History. His thesis on Mussolini in WW1 was published as a book. Paul now lives in Italy working as a translator. He dances Argentine Tango and has taken up piano again after a 20 year break. e: obrienpaul@wordpress.com

Aaron Quigley M.A. (1995)

Aaron has been appointed the inaugural director of the Human Interface Technology Laboratory Australia (HIT Lab AU) and is an Associate Professor in the School of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Tasmania.

Mark Deveney B.A. (1996)

Mark is living in Annapolis, Maryland with his wife Tanya Cooke B.A. (1996) and their two children, Chloe and Izzy. The family moved there three years ago and have laid down deep roots on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. Mark continues to work for Diageo plc. and is currently the On Premise Director for US National Accounts.

Nazer Qureshi. M.Sc. (1996)

Since Nazer moved to the United States in 1996, he has completed a Fellowship in Neuro-oncology on gene therapy for brain tumours at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital. Currently, Nazer works as a private practice neurosurgeon and is Chief of Brain and Spine Tumour Service at North Little Rock, Arkansas.
