KOOL-AID, ANYONE? What is happening to America and the rest of the world is beyond understanding. We visited the wonderful countries of New Zealand and Australia in 1988, and it breaks my heart knowing how these people are being treated by their own governments, who apparently have imbibed in the liberal Kool-Aid. From the very beginning, when the COVID- 19 virus was announced in the winter of 2020, I felt it was not about a deadly virus, but about control. At fi rst, it was just a very bad virus, but as the controlling medical world started to mandate closing businesses, churches, schools, and companies, things became clearer.

HILLARY STILL HERE For 2024: DeSantis? Trump? Biden? What about the obvious person scant coverage is being given to right now: Hillary Clinton? Sure, it’s easy to count her out, especially for the repeated number of times she’s been around the political track. But she has a winning hand, thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court: the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Say what you will about Hillary Clinton, she knows how to bring women’s issues, including abortion, to the forefront. No,

maybe not the best candidate on the Democrat side, but now in terms of her chances, not the worst either. I wouldn’t count her out for 2024. (“Hillary Waiting in the Wings,” July) jacob billinis Chicago, Ill.

GOOD GOVERNORS I’m so proud of Govs. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., and Greg Abbott, R-Texas. I was wondering when they would send the illegals to Biden’s and Harris’ front yard. I hope Ron and Greg send a lot more buses to them. When we take the House and the Senate back, we will get started again on the right track! The red wave is coming, and Democrats won’t have a place to hide! (“Democrats Go Far Left,” June) mary cleveland Alexander City, Ala.

LOSING FREEDOMS As a veteran of World War II, I frequently refl ect on world history. America has been the shining light of liberty. Today, there are dark clouds within, leading dangerously to a possible catastrophic climax. Let us pray with God’s guiding grace that we may once again preserve the gift once given to us. Lost vigilance is lost freedom. God bless America! leonard henderson Port Jeff erson, N.Y.
