laiming America’s Greatness
And you will be my people. And I will be your God.’” And that’s the story of the land of Israel! So when Steven Paul, the
owner of Jewish Life TV, said to me, “What do you think we should do?” I said, “Why don’t you tell the story of the land of Israel?”
• Do you see that story play- ing out in America? • I’ve seen the evangelical Christian community off er the most powerful support for Israel. They are far more active and positive than the Jewish community in our country. There are wonder- ful Jewish people here, but generally support for Israel has not come as easily from the Jewish community as it should. But evangelical Christians have fi lled in that gap. The Judeo-Christian heritage is real in our coun- try. The Founding Fathers in their statements, and George Washington from the beginning, felt the hand of God over our nation.
• You interviewed former President Donald Trump, who engineered the his- toric Abraham Accords that have promoted peace in the Middle East. What was that like? • Most people who are in politics are . . . people who are very good at promising people things and getting money. That’s what they’re good at. No one in politics has his
skills. Every time I go to one of his places or visit him
REAL LEADERSHIP Voight interviewed former President Donald Trump for Israel & the Abraham Accords, the first episode of a documentary series co-produced by Newsmax and Jewish Life TV. “No one in politics has his skills,” Voight says of Trump. “Every time I visit him, I’m impressed with him and the atmosphere around him.”
at an offi ce, I’m impressed with him and the atmo- sphere around him. It’s always cheerful, positive, and he is always positive. I think the most impor- tant thing for us to recog- nize is that leadership is a real gift. It’s very rare to see real leadership, and that’s what he expressed in his presidency.
And without Donald
Trump in offi ce, we can see how the rest of the world’s values are really in disre- pair and the world needs a strong leader.
• Given the Founders’ em- brace of Judeo-Christian values, what’s your take on the “woke,” hate-America crowd? • I have to say, Marxism is a real evil. And proponents of Marxism have invaded this country. We are a free nation.
Freedom is a big deal. Our Founders introduced freedom to the world. And this freedom was used by the Soviets to come into this country and to get a
platform and to fi nd a way into our universities, and to teach our children. President Reagan fought against this suc- cessfully and brought down the Soviet Union. And when that happened, when Communism was dissolved in the Soviet Union, we in America fi g- ured it was taken care of. But the seeds were deep-
ly planted by that time. And the eff ort to bring down our country continues because people didn’t pay attention.
• How do we reclaim our Founders’ Judeo-Christian values? • There are people who represent the values and who are doing good work. I’d say Donald Trump is more active now than he’s been in his presidency. And that’s saying a lot because he did more than any other president in the history of the United States. He was more successful
in more areas, with many more achievements, than any other president. Can
you imagine this . . . he did it in four years! And he’s as active as he
ever has been with these rallies and these battles that he’s having. And we have to support him and support those who are fi ghting the battles on diff erent fronts.
• How would you like to be remembered? • There are people much wiser than I. There are people who are saints. They’re pointing the direc- tion for us. As for me, I just want
to be of service. I just want to be of service to the good and the true. I just want to be a servant and that’ll be enough.
