Throughout the pandemic Hinckley and


Bosworth has supported local businesses by distributing £32,381,222 on 5673 mandatory


Covid grants and we have spent £5,426,329 on 2005 discretionary grants since the start of the pandemic in order to support and sustain local businesses through recovery from COVID19.


During the pandemic and following local business surveys it was identified that local businesses needed extra funds to ensure business recovery and increased sustainability enabling businesses to diversify through mitigation measures. The Council launched a Business Recovery Project Fund. The match- funded grants prioritised independent business (including retail), tourism and hospitality business and creative industry but also supported many other types of small business. The scheme successfully supported 34 local projects with £275,542 worth of funding. Varieties of applications were supported and all projects contributed towards safeguarding or creating new jobs for the local area.

New Digital Investment Sites Prospectus Launched for Leicestershire


Invest in Leicester has recently launched its new Digital Sites Prospectus at the UK’s Real Estate Investment Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), a three-day event in Leeds, which is now in its second year.
