Member update

Dominic Louks, head of membership, provides an update for FPA and RISCAuthority members F&RM readership survey

Members should have received within this issue a copy of our 2018 readership survey. Whilst we appreciate your time is precious, and demands for this type of feedback can be viewed as superfluous, we do hope as many members as possible are able to take the time to participate. For added convenience, the survey form can be completed, folded, sealed and returned using a prepaid address. An online version will also be sent to members. There have been some significant

developments since our last readership survey, including the appointment of Will Roszczyk as editor in June 2017, and the rebranding to F&RM in January 2018. We are keen to hear about the things we are doing right and what areas can be improved on, and also understand the reading habits and trends across our demographic as we look to the future. As well as providing us with valuable

feedback, which we will look to share with members in an upcoming issue, we understand a carrot must be dangled... so we are giving away an Amazon Echo to one lucky respondent, the winner of which will be announced in our February issue.

Sprinkler rules update

Often referred to as ‘the bible’ for sprinkler professionals and practitioners, the rules incorporate BS EN 12845: 2015 with supporting Technical Bulletins, which continue to build upon the text of BS EN to provide a specification designed to ensure

A supporting webinar, which will look to

provide an overview of the latest changes to this document, will be announced shortly.
