The winners for this
year’s Butcher’s Shop of the Year Awards and Champion of Champions were revealed at a prestigious awards ceremony and lunch attended by 250 industry professionals on Monday 5th November at etc. venues County Hall, Westminster, London. As on previous occasions
there was stiff competition, but it was Kirk’s who were crowned Butchers Shop of the Year and Oinc Oink Farm who stole the Champion of Champions accolade with its Welsh Pork & Vintage Welsh Cheddar Sausage. Other winners included
two NCB members who picked up regional awards
in the Butchers Shop of the Year event and seven NCB members who were included in the list of finalists for the Champion of Champion’s competition. The awards once again
reflected another busy year in the sector, with each winning entry showing a real proactive approach to innovation and quality. n
