AB VISTA EXPANDS TECHNICAL SERVICE TEAM WITH NEW FEED APPLICATIONS ENGINEER AB Vista’s Technical Services Team has recently been expanded, as part of the company’s strategy to strengthen feed mill support to customers in the Americas. Joel McAtee has joined AB Vista as Feed Applications Engineer


for the Americas, having spent several years working in Operation and Regulatory roles in commercial feed facilities and premix plants. A key part of Joel’s role will be providing feed engineering support and advice to customers in the Americas region. Mr McAtee graduated from Kansas State University in Feed


Science and Management and subsequently managed the KSU Research feed mill, helping build and commission the new feed mill for animal science research.

Hattie I’Anson, daughter of Sales Director Will I’Anson and niece of


Managing Director Chris I’Anson, has followed in her family’s footsteps, becoming the first of the fifth generation to join the North Yorkshire company. Hattie joins the firm as a Sales Representative, having spent the


last two years working in sales roles in London and Leeds following a degree in International Business from Northumbria University. The role will involve generating sales, managing customer accounts,


creating and developing marketing strategies and looking at entry strategies in home and overseas markets. The role will also include some product development work, for which Hattie’s experience owning and riding horses will prove useful. Joining Hattie in the Sales Department is Steph Baul, who is


being promoted from her Administration role to become a Feed Sales Representative. Steph has already been at the company for three years following her agricultural upbringing on the family dairy farm in Bishop Thornton. Steph’s main responsibilities will involve the promotion of the company’s feed, visiting customers, attending agricultural shows and markets, building relationships, and helping customers with advice and placing orders. Commenting on Hattie’s appointment, I’Anson Managing Director, Chris I’Anson, said: “Welcoming the fifth generation of the family to the

BVA CONGRATULATES CHRISTINE MIDDLEMISS ON APPOINTMENT AS NEXT UK CHIEF VET Christine Middlemiss has been appointed as the UK’s next Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO). She will take over from Nigel Gibbens who is stepping down at the end of February 2018 following 10 years in the post.

John Fishwick said: “We’d like to congratulate Christine Middlemiss on her appointment as the UK’s next CVO and welcome her return to Defra - as well as to the UK, following her 16 months as CVO in New South Wales, Australia. “We hope to continue our effective working relationship with the


new UK CVO, and really look forward the opportunity to work with Christine moving forwards.”
