IT’S SHOW TIME

Visit the Antigua Charter Show 4th - 9th December 2022. Experience the wonders the island has to offer along with some of the world’s most impressive yachts

E

stablished in 1961, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show celebrated its diamond jubilee in 2021. The annual

event takes place from 4-9 December 2022 at the start of the Caribbean sailing season. It is a celebrated meeting and is the world’s largest multinational networking event for charter yacht brokers, captains, vendors and press.

Set in the historic surroundings of Nelson’s Dockyard Antigua, the show attracts attendees from North America, Europe, and the Caribbean islands. Antigua has direct flights from major international airports and there is a range of hotel and villa accommodation within walking distance of the show. While the time honoured district still conjures up images of its 18th century past, there’s nothing dated about its amenities. Superyachts can now set anchor in Nelson’s Dockyard itself, thanks to the creation of a larger, upgraded dock. The marinas boast a plethora of maritime services with a chandlery and high flow rate fuel, supermarkets, gym, boutique shops/restaurants, laundromat, and medical centre. Everything the visitor or crew may need.

Showcasing the world’s finest Charter Yachts, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show attracts about 60 attending yachts, ranging from under 50ft to 231ft and over. The on-the-water show includes motor yachts, sailing yachts and multihulls.

The six day schedule includes numerous network opportunities organised via the dedicated hospitality desk. Situated at The Copper & Lumber Store Hotel in Nelson’s Dockyard. Charter Yacht viewings are made directly with yacht teams, often with advance bookings.

The main objective of the Antigua Yacht Charter Show is to create the perfect environment for charter yacht industry professionals to network, renewing connections forged over many years, as well as making new ones. The show is bustling with business opportunities and is one of the obvious reasons the show has been running for 60 years, it works and industry visitors come back year after year.

It’s not all business, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show has numerous exciting events starting with the Welcome Networking

Event which showcases amazing cultural performances and is open to all attendees. The Concours de chef is certainly a highlight of the show and attracts some of the world’s best chefs and crew to showcase their culinary and table scaping prowess. This year’s theme “A Taste of Yachting” is already creating lots of hype in anticipation to see who will be the winners. Don’t forget the Yacht Hops or just enjoy the sweet sound of steelpans while sipping on a rum punch. To cumulate a week of networking activities and memorable experiences we close with an After Show Mingle for all attendees which is always fantastic!!

As a new event in 2022, there is the ‘Yachts for Sale’ day on Friday 9th December. Yachts for sale can register to show their yacht to the attendees and book appointments with brokers and potential buyers.

Still a highlight of the yachting calendar even after six decades, sunny climes, genial locals and a scenic backdrop are waiting for you, See you there!
