BUCKET LIST
TURNING TORSO An iconic Malmö building that is shaped like a ribcage. It’s great for a photo op and it’s also very close to the body of water between Malmö and Copenhagen. If you walk to the water front you can actually see Denmark across the way.
RIBERSBORGS KALLBADHUS Called Kallis by locals, this is a gorgeous old-fashioned open-air bathhouse by the beach in Malmö. A scenic twenty-minute walk from the centre of town, it’s a must-visit in the summertime, but Swedes famously come here to swim all year round. Bathing suits are optional.
HAVE A FIKA! Fika is the Swedish tradition of having coffee, eating pastries, and hanging out. You will see a lot of cafes around Malmö and any are perfect for a fika. Try the Coffee Factory near Stortorget to enjoy your fika with locals.
SKYBAR MALMÖ ARENA HOTEL Enjoy a sunset drink and a panoramic view after a long day of exploring. Trust us, you will want to end your day here. Not enough people talk about this spot when they mention Malmö, which is not a bad thing as you won’t be mobbed by tourists but it is a must visit.
EAT & DRINK LU
The go-to lunch spot since it opened has been LU, a Hong Kong style kitchen serving authentic dishes in a welcoming environment.
TWO FORKS A pop-up restaurant residing inside SOI 29. They’re the original hummus spot in town and for good reason - it’s delicious, locally produced and the menu changes weekly based on what they have available from their urban farm.
ASTER
An open fire kitchen serving regionally sourced food with a rustic feel and big flavours. It’s located out in Västra Hamnen in the old shipyards, adding a dramatic backdrop for a great meal.
BEER DITCH A beer nerd paradise. Lots of good beers from all over, but mainly Scandinavia. Enjoy your beer in peace or chat up the staff about the next best beer they’ve got coming in.
KASCIA No one in town is making more inventive, creative and satisfying cocktails than Kascia and the rest of the team there. The bar comes with a view as well, situated just by the canal at Malmö Live.
MALMÖ BREWING The place to go for beer connoisseurs; the tap room and brewery has a wide selection of beers on tap and is a popular meeting place for the local craft beer community.
