SMART OPTION Frédéric Dormeuil outlines the benefits

for commercial yachts of working with a specialist operational and fiscal representation company

A

s the Mediterranean’s premier superyacht

fiscal representation company, SOS Yachting has spent

the last decade providing an unparalleled service of helping its clients navigate the financial requirements of VAT compliance for charter yachts.

At SOS Yachting, we understand the complexities of country specific fiscal implications and are equipped at a local office level with the necessary knowledge and expertise to manage all VAT demands with precision and professionalism.

With our team of specialists, you can rest assured that your vessel’s financial statuses are in safe hands as we provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information, keeping you and your clients compliant in every cruising destination while minimising any risks or financial penalties.

As a leader in the Mediterranean region, SOS Yachting aims to deliver local support wherever required. With representative offices in Croatia, France, Italy and Spain, SOS Yachting prides itself on being at the forefront of the action, able to help clients at a moment’s notice.

As the Aegean Sea continues to tempt the chartering world, SOS Yachting has recently expanded its reach with the opening of a new office in the heart of Greece.

This fifth office in the SOS Yachting stable aims to provide support for those wanting to indulge in Greek waters and ensures clients get the full SOS Yachting level of service they deserve.

Frédéric Dormeuil, CEO of SOS Yachting, commented: “The timing couldn’t be more perfect. As we note evident trends for clients wishing to start their charters in Greek waters, offering SOS Yachting’s trusted support makes great sense.”

With the opening of SOS Yachting Greece,

we look forward to offering our clients total focus and the local support they deserve - SOS Yachting’s key strength.

Greece has been rising silently in popularity as a charter destination, and many brokers have noted this trend of demand moving towards the east, with destinations such as Croatia and Greece now rivalling the classic locations of France and Italy.

Maria Ntouka-Montesantou, the newly appointed Managing Director of SOS Yachting Greece, added: “The Eastern Mediterranean has so much to offer, and it’s clear Greece is now very much at the forefront of interest. With the opening of SOS Yachting Greece, we look forward to offering our clients total focus and the local support they deserve – SOS Yachting’s key strength.”

As part of a larger goal to promote regional tourism development in Greece, the new office, as well as offering the full charter license, will also monitor the progress of recently passed legislation making it easier

for non-Greek yachts to charter in the country’s waters. If passed, the legislation will eliminate the current need to establish a physical presence there.

At SOS Yachting, we recognise that the superyacht industry is a niche market, and we understand the unique needs of each individual yacht and charter. This is why superyacht owners entrust their financial affairs to SOS Yachting with total confidence.

With an extensive portfolio of over 700 superyachts, which include some of the most popular charter yachts in the industry, SOS Yachting is the first port of call when it comes to overseeing VAT regulatory requirements.
