Improved Chicago power pack
Chicago Pneumatic showed its newly improved Pac P9 hydraulic power pack complete with a re-designed frame. The machine weighs 72kg and is powered by a 6.7kW Honda GX270 petrol engine. It provides an oil flow of 20 litres per minute at a maximum pressure of 150 bar to power a 25- 32kg hydraulic breaker or other hydraulic tools. The gauges and oil
level indicator are grouped on the front by the hydraulic outlets. The machine’s two-
wheel trolley has a hinge-back protection frame and folding handle, and it utilises a stronger hydraulic pump with changed orientation to simplify hose routing.

Demon Director David Walke reported a very busy Show with hirers in positive mood. “Last year, people were talking about Brexit and surrounding uncertainty. This year, however, no one has mentioned it. We have been selling off the stand. There was a real buzz and a hustle and bustle almost as soon as the Show opened.” Orders taken during the two
days included one from Bristol- based Alide Hire Services for more of the manufacturer’s Tornado Mini Bowser P2 pressure washer and Tornado Diesel D1 bowser washer. The hirer already has the machines in its fleet and says
they have proved so popular they have decided to add more. Demon also promoted its pressure washer models fitted with Honda LPG
engines, pictured, which are claimed to offer a 60% reduction in CO and to significantly reduce hydrocarbon by-products, as well as reducing noise.

Show delivers delight for Trime
Trime UK highlighted its new X-Eco-Battery, which was included in the Innovation Trail - Live initiative at this year’s Show. The company said this contributed to a significant increase in visitors to its stand. The machine is designed to provide zero fuel costs, no carbon emissions, minimal vibration and to require little routine maintenance, whilst eliminating noise pollution. Trime also completed an order for 80 X-Eco lighting sets from event
hirer, Illumin8. MD Neil Fenwick (pictured right) confirmed the order with Trime’s CEO, Ray Caulfield (centre) and Andrea Fontanella of Trime SpA, on the first day of the Show. The manufacturer also confirmed an order for its new X-Splash equipment water-recyclable cleaning system, from D & S Plant Services. “Receiving orders on the stand was very welcome, and having the
chance meet new and potential clients made our time most successful,” said Trime UK MD Paul Hay. “We were delighted with both the quality and quantity of visitors.”

New Harford tilt coupler
Norwich-based Harford Attachments exhibited a pre- production version of the RA02 tilting quick-couplers that has been designed to fit mini excavators weighing approximately 1.5 tonnes. It utilises a Kinshofer rotator to allow a full 180° of tilt. The attachment
can be combined with both Harford’s Pro-Lok manual pin grabber and Uni-loc hydraulic pin grabber quick-coupler technology. There will also be a larger RA05 for 2 to 3-tonne minis, the RA07 for 4 to 5-tonne machines, and the RA09 covering the 6 to 8-tonne class. Full launch is scheduled during the coming summer.
