Meet the Simpsons with HSC
New to the Hire Supply Co’s HSC MSC line-up (the re-branded Midland Power Distribution (UK) activity) are two pressure washers made by the US manufacturer, Simpson. Both have a chassis constructed from similar aluminium to that used in aircraft for strength and lightness, and have CAT pumps. The Pro 3200PW provides 3200psi (220 bar) and has a
Honda GX200 engine, while the Pro 3800PW delivers 3800psi (262 bar) with a Honda GX270 engine. The machines come with heavy-duty hoses of 25ft and 50ft respectively, and both have spray lances with a dial-and-wash adjustment to enable users to quickly alter the output pressure.

Hatz showed a canopy version of its 4H50TIC Silent Pack water-cooled engine from its H-Series range, which has been developed to comply with forthcoming Stage V emissions regulations.

New from Makita is a compact powered barrow driven by any of the manufacturer’s 18V batteries. The DCU180Z can carry up to 130kg of blocks or similar materials, and its brushless motor is integrated into the front wheel for maximum traction. It has two forward speeds, powered reverse and is claimed to be able to climb a 12° maximum incline. The front disc brake is controlled by a lever on the steering handles. The machine has a soft-start facility for smooth operation and twin LED
driving lights. It can also be fitted with optional accessories, including a pipe frame set and a bucket frame.

turbocharged intercooler and is designed to have compact dimensions to facilitate installation in a broad range of construction machinery. It weighs 173kg and has an output of 55kW. Also on show was the open 3H50T engine, again designed to meet the new emissions regulations.
