EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW REVIEW
“Show never misses a beat”
Once again, the Show gave hirers an unrivalled opportunity to see new products and suppliers, meet fellow professionals and keep updated with industry developments. And some are already looking forward to the next one…

“ • It was the first time
George had attended the Show, and he and I were able to meet a number of suppliers and network throughout the day. ‘M’ Rate dust vacs were of particular interest to us, and we discussed the range available on the Addex stand, making a purchase and we plan to add further items. Point of Rental continues to
offer us great support and service. We were able to speak with MD Mark Goodrum and discussed adding more apps within our current
software setup. The Show never misses a beat, and the variety of suppliers and products allows hirers to make great purchasing decisions.
George got even more out of his visit than he thought: his name was drawn out
of the hat in our prize draw for hire visitors who completed and returned our Show questionnaire. A cheque for £500 is on its way.

“ We bought some Hi-Lyte 500 towers, which have a maximum
10.2m platform height, from Lyte Ladders & Towers. The company is also taking some of our old stock from another supplier as a trade-in, and it is also going to provide training for members of our team. We also
made good contacts with suppliers like Makita and Stihl, and we have signed up to the X-hire web-based re-hire service. We frequently get requests for diggers, dumpers and larger plant,
so this will enable us to meet the demand. As always, the Show was a great way of seeing new products and meeting new suppliers, and to keep up with the latest industry innovations.

“ We attend the Show
every year and always look forward to meeting our suppliers and striking a few deals on the day. Each year we bring different members of the team, as this gives them a great opportunity to see the latest innovations within the industry and to bring new ideas back into the business. This year, we even gave our managers some extra ‘pocket money’ to spend, which they duly did in earnest in a matter of hours! We struck some keen
deals with Brendon Powerwashers, Mace Industries, Tracmaster and Diaquip. Along with plans to expand our plant and powered access fleet, we are set to have another busy year ahead of us. And our managers are already looking forward to next year’s Show.

The Show is a fantastic chance for us to keep up with the latest innovations
and new products which have been launched onto the market. It also gives us the opportunity to meet up with both existing suppliers and to build relationships with potential new suppliers. This year we
bought petrol generators, hydraulic breaker packs and forward/reverse plates from Altrad Belle, and a diamond floor grinder from Yokota, a new supplier for us. Having missed last year’s Show, we were impressed by the lower hall, the increase in exhibiters and the Innovation Trail - Live, of which we took full advantage. We also thoroughly enjoyed the evening Party and Awards ceremony and celebrations, which again gave us the opportunity to meet up with our suppliers in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting the 2019 Show.
