InnovatIon traIl: Eco
Post Pullers The recently revised Fence Master from Post Pullers is a unique post removal system designed to
take the strain out of removing posts of all shapes and sizes, from fence posts and street signs to gateposts. It is best in its class of innovative machinery and represents a leap forward in operator safety.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, the robust hand-pumped device delivers four tonnes of
pulling force, extracting posts in under two minutes along with any concrete attached and saving hours of time and effort. Once a post has been removed, Fence Master can also be used to simply wheel it away. Another useful feature is the unique claw attachment, which enables the device to securely grasp rotten or broken off posts and concrete foundations. In most instances, there is no digging required.
Prolectric The Prolectric ProPower is a solar hybrid generator that has been designed to provide a sustainable
temporary power solution to the construction, infrastructure, rail and events sectors. The ProPower packs the latest solar and lithium-ion battery storage technology into a compact
trailer, making it clean, cost effective and easy to deploy. The onboard 22kVA generator can run on HVO fuel, reducing emissions by as much as 90%, while its 35 Kwh battery enables the unit to run silently when required. The inclination of the ProPower solar panels can be adjusted for optimum winter and summer performance, leading to an increase in solar generation of up to 15%. The ProPower is trailer mounted with a minimal footprint, and is available with the ERICA smart distribution board that measures and records how much, and where power is consumed on site. It can also turn power on and off remotely to increase the overall run-time on battery and solar.
RIDGID The new RIDGID StrutSlayr strut shear head is the latest accessory that makes the popular press tool
even more valuable. StrutSlayr attaches to RIDGID 32kN press tools to deliver a shop quality, burr-free cut in five seconds or less. No grinding or sawing sparks are produced – just a clean and consistent shear cut with no need for extra filing. The StrustSlayr is highly portable, but also mounts to RIDGID TRISTANDS as required. A built-in measuring guide enables accuracy of cut, while 21 x 41mm and 41 x 41mm easily replaceable dies ensure long-term use and flexibility.
Shindaiwa Keeping its powder dry in lieu of a big reveal at the Executive Hire Show, Shindaiwa’s Eco Hybrid 300 welder
generator offers a number of benefits, including 60% reduced fuel consumption over existing models, 50% reduction in Co2 Emissions and low noise at just 55 decibels at 7m The Hybrid machine features a fully bunded chassis and an auto start/stop feature to prevent idle running.
It is fitted with a capacitor system which charges when the engine is running. The machine offers similar performance to Shindaiwa’s popular Eco300 model, which is already the most
fuel efficient 300A welder available on the UK market. However, the Eco Hybrid 300 consumes a fraction of the fuel and produces much lower emissions.
Trime The Trime X Solar Hybrid lighting tower employs four 100W LED adjustable and tiltable floodlights that
can illuminate an area of 2400sqm. Combining the power of a Linz Alumen SB 3.5kVA alternator, a Kubota Z482 engine, a 335W solar
panel and a 24V DC battery, the unit is able to run for 70 hours from the battery or up to 3000 hours before a refill of the 300 litre fuel tank is required. The lighting mast is wind rated up to 110km/h and comprises seven sections that can be extended hydraulically to 8.5m. The X Solar Hybrid also features forklift pockets to aid transportation. Meanwhile, maintenance is minimal, with colour coded cables and connectors, and on-board levels for guidance during stabilisation.
