InnovatIon traIl: Eco Future Now!

The Innovation Trail is relaunched for the 2022 Executive Hire Show, with a clear focus on equipment that moves the needle and a fresh face presenting the proceedings.

The Innovation Trail is a key component of the Executive Hire Show, and has always been at the forefront in terms of new technologies, improving operator and environmental safety, security and productivity. It has been heading in the right direction for years now, although a relaunch was long overdue. As the Main Event approaches, we take a look at the longlist...

ATE Towmate Built from the ground up, the Rhino TXDP embraces the harsh environments associated with

construction work. The tough galvanised steel chassis and modular design embodies the durability and strength that users have come to expect from Towmate Built Rugged trailers. ATE has included several innovations, such as the pivot axle system, which prevents wheel and

axle damage and ensures that axles are never overloaded. The company has also engineered a unique security system called ‘Load Sentry’. This innovation ensures quick and effective loading and security of diggers and paired with double angle ramp, takes loading to another level. Available in two different weight capacities, with scope to customise with the features available,

there is a Rhino TXDP plant trailer to suit every need. Other highlights include durable 5-stud running gear, heavy duty mudguards, an extended drawbar and 1400mm individual ramps, and a useful digger arm lock.

Atlas Copco Developed with sustainability in mind, the ZenergiZe range from Atlas Copco helps operators

dramatically reduce their fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, while delivering optimal performance with zero noise and virtually no maintenance. Leveraging the benefits of high-density lithium-ion batteries, the ZenergiZe units are compact and

light compared to traditional alternatives, yet capable of providing over 12hours of power with a single charge. They are ideally suited for noise-sensitive environments, such as event or metropolitan construction sites, telecoms, or rental applications, or to resolve low load problems. The ZenergiZe range suits applications that require a continuous and demanding flow of electrical

power energy. Also, the ZenergiZe can be synchronised with other energy storage systems, which allows the machine to become the storage of all the energy sources connected to a microgrid.

BISAF The ‘Particulator’ from BISAF is a boon in these days of strict emissions standards. When fitted to

diesel engines less than 30kW / 40hp, it is able to reduce soot particulates by 99.9%. It is thus well suited to smaller construction machinery, generators and powered access equipment. Its performance meets or even exceeds EURO Stage V requirements The unit consists of a diesel particulate filter encased in an insulated stainless steel jacket with inlet

and outlet cones connected to the central filter unit with V clamps. The exhaust from the machine is fed into the Particulator by a flexible metal pipe that is attached to the exhaust outlet from the machine’s silencer and the inlet pipe at the bottom of the filter assembly. A built-in control cabinet contains the electronics to control the regeneration of the filter. As such, replacement filters are not required unless damage or clogging by non-combustible materials has occurred. The filters are made from VERT approved components, are tested by Cambustion Ltd and carry a six-month guarantee.
