Guy Tomblin from Bison Plant Hire The Show is a permanent fixture in our diary.

It gives us the chance to meet and network with fellow hirers and it allows us to keep in touch with industry developments, as well as searching out new profit-earners for our fleet. There is always a good atmosphere at the event and it gives us an opportunity to really engage with our suppliers.

“ ”

Stephen Young from Avon Tools Hire It’s great to see what’s new and you can

see equipment that will help you keep pace with the needs of professionals in construction and other industries. I wouldn’t miss the Show for the world. We invariably spend a small fortune while we are there, but it’s all about keeping the customer satisfied.

Antony Rainford, left, and Ashley Maude from EPS Hire Centres We always look forward to the Show in February as it gives us a

fantastic opportunity to meet our existing and new suppliers and check out their products. This year we will pay particular attention to plant security systems and Bona sanding machines, and we will have a good look at the new variants of scaffold towers. It’s a great chance to make decisions at the Show because we can look at the different manufacturers on the same day and make a choice that best suits our customers’ needs. General hire equipment will be added to our hire fleet from existing suppliers as our hire centres continue to grow. We see the Show

as a benefit to our staff

to see new equipment coming on to the market, and it’s great that the exhibition is a two-day event as team members from both our depots can visit on different days.

Brett Thompson from Alide Hire Services This is the time of year when I get excited about two things: 1) the

New Year and 2) the Executive Hire Show. It is unquestionably my favourite annual exhibition as it often leads to the purchase of new and exciting equipment. This makes for very happy hire teams, and very unhappy accountants. Whilst at the exhibition, I will appreciate the chance to catch up with

existing suppliers, tell them the same old jokes and strengthen our business relationships. I’ll also take the opportunity to meet with new suppliers, who will have the pleasure of battling with our negotiation tactics, and will also review the innovative products coming into the industry. The day will be topped off by chatting with old friends over a cold beverage at the evening Party and Awards. See you all in Coventry!

Jeff Aldridge from CRH Plant There are always some great new

products to see at the Show and it’s also a good networking opportunity. If you don’t go you’ll miss out on learning about the latest developments in areas like new technology, such as battery powered equipment and solar panels for welfare units, and in Health & Safety. It enables us to look at smaller plant

and equipment that we can add to the fleet, and in the past we have bought machines at the Show such as Hamm rollers and Bomag remote compactors. I also like the fact that everything is inside and under cover, so you aren’t inconvenienced by adverse weather. Overall, the Show is great.
