2018 REVIEW - Words and photos by SAMUEL McKEOWN and PAUL FEARS Whitney showcase their tipping skills

DAVID Winterborn, Whitney Engineering Director, gave his perspective on the annual event.

Redditch-based Whitney are a leading designer and supplier in the industry. They supply and design a range of forklift skips and handling equipment for the UK market.

David said: “Both mornings for day one and day two were fairly busy, which provided some great leads, but the event has been condensed from three days into two.

“At RWM, we showcased our Forklift Tipping Skips, which can be adapted and sold into any industry.”

Interestingly, it was the fi rst time Whitney had exhibited at RWM since the company was bought by Ladybird Cranes in early 2018.

OVER the previous two years there has been one company taking the waste and recycling sector by storm – Zappshelter. The company’s Business Development Manager Dave Clarke spoke about another successful show. He said: “The event has brought lots of enquires and a lot of post-RWM following up regarding site visits.

“We sponsored Keynote Theatre 28, which along with our considerably big stand, created a lot of interest - we’re looking forward to next year. “As always we showcased the Zappshelter roof system, but there’s a variety of platforms it can be mounted on such as containers, concrete blocks, steel frames.

“They are used for bays to cover waste recycling materials, in order to stop moisture contamination.” Although this was the second time Zappshelter exhibited at RWM, they almost tripled their stand size and spent the majority of the two-day event dealing with new enquiries as well as touching base with existing clients.
