2018 REVIEW - Words and photos by SAMUEL McKEOWN and PAUL FEARS

Herbst Machinery outside demo area wows start-ups & end-users

RWM also provided the opportunity for company directors to ‘catch up’ in an informal and formal manner, that is only usually possible once a year due to overseas travel.

So, the event was an important one for Herbst Machinery to meet end users within England, Scotland and Wales. The Omagh-based fi rm are a manufacturer

of quality trailers for the agricultural and construction sector for transporting plant, machinery, equipment and aggregates. Herbst exhibited at RWM on the outside demo area with their Agri Crusher. Sales Manager Ashley Crawford (Above) was very upbeat about the successful show for the Northern Ireland Company. He said: “The quality of visitors on the

stand was good throughout the whole show and it has been a busy event for us all at Herbst. “A high percentage of visitors to our stand have been start-ups and end-users, which for us is our main target markets when pushing the Compac S52 Screen, the Herbst C900 Crusher, and the Herbst Agri Crusher.”

Award winning show for Seligo

FOR some companies, RWM was about creating leads and selling equipment right there and then. But for go-ahead SELIGO the event was a surprising award-winning success.

Thomas Paris, SELIGO Director, said: “We’ve been approached by a lot of SMEs who believe in our idea, and tell us they have seen an immediate benefi t of our online platform.”

The SELIGO.pro platform facilitates users to fi nd local treatment sites with the capacity to quickly process those tricky tonnes of waste with no hassle.

“What’s great about SMEs is you get direct access to the head of the company, and we’ve got a busy period after RWM,” added Thomas.

“But on a personal note, RWM’s been great for us as we won the SME Innovation Award (delivering the best value to SMEs) after a two-minute pitch to the major companies in the industry - including Ian Wakelin of Biff a.”
