WASTE RECYCLING ADVERTORIAL
LSS Waste Management Invest In A Neuenhauser Star Screening System
LEADING Leeds-based waste management company LSS Waste Management have invested in a new Neuenhauser Star Screening sytem.
The plant has been specially designed to screen shredded wood down to -40mm, to be used in their on-site biomass power plant.
The star screening plant is initially fed wood by the company’s previously purchased slow speed shredder.
The Neuenhauser star screen produces a -40mm and +40mm product, with the -40mm product stockpiled to be fed into the biomass power plant.
The +40mm is transferred via conveyors back to the slow speed shredder, keeping the product in a closed loop system.
John O’Neill of Riverside Machinery Ltd commented: “This is an extremely compact system, resulting in a reduction of costs from the outset.
“Previously the customer was having to shred the material several times to achieve a near spec product - resulting in an extremely high diesel burn. Now an in- spec product is being produced at a very lost cost per tonne.”
